Apply Default Transition Shortcut in Premiere Pro

Instantly applies the default video or audio transition to a cut point.

Incredibly efficient for creating quick montages or smoothing out audio edits. Instead of dragging transitions from the Effects panel one by one, you can apply them instantly with a single key press.

Select a cut point between two clips in the timeline. Press Ctrl + D to apply the default video transition (usually Cross Dissolve). Use Ctrl + Shift + D for the audio transition (Constant Power).
